Cell Libraries

In addition to 2D plan symbols and 2D add-ons, Mechanical discipline employs a collection of cell libraries that are associated with individual components. Air flow symbols and Inline components use cells from the libraries located in workspace directories. Cells are also available for drawing production.

The refined SMACNA cell symbol library available for several cells assists to lessen the redundant extraneous lines and geometry that is not required for re-symbolization in Dynamic View workflow. This results in cleaner drawings where cell symbols can be scaled or fitted accordingly to produce an aesthetically and parametrically correct 2D representation of the model view.

Air flow symbols provide crucial information in drawing compositions. They conform to discipline standards by changing symbology to and from visible and hidden depending upon the direction of the component in relation to the section plane. The air flow symbols are also manipulated to size them according to user-specified dimensions.

Elbows have the same Part definition, but opposite orientations.

Air flow symbols are generated with information extracted from part definition and components' physical orientation to correctly display positive and negative flows.

Inline component cells are attached to the modeled geometry so they can be viewed from the top, bottom and sides. The DataGroup System allows customization and modifications by editing the name of the cell inside the DataGroup Properties.
